Danielle Cohen studied Film and Media Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After working at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival for 2 years, she went on to direct her own environmental short documentary called The Tipping Point, which premiered in 2018 at SBIFF and continued to go onto many festivals around the world. After graduating from UCSB, Danielle moved back to San Diego to work at the Lawrence Family JCC as the Assistant Director of the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture, where she managed the programming of the David & Dorothea Garfield Theatre's cultural arts center and the San Diego International Jewish Film Festival. There, she created and director the spin off shorts festival, the Joyce Forum Short Film Festival and Brews & Views film series.  

After three years there, Danielle packed up and moved to Florence, Italy in 2020, where she began working in marketing and tourism.
